What does $5,000 actually buy?

It opens a focused ten-day production workflow with five two-day movements, each with visible work and an approval gate you hold — ending in a governed production milestone and an approved plan for the rest of the book. It is not a deposit against an unnamed total; it is the first real body of work.

Do I have to choose how much of the work I do?

No. There is one engagement and one Studio. You create alongside the team, and at any step you can ask your BookKraft team to take it — a chapter, a rights record, a test kitchen. Help is scoped as work when you ask for it, never as an upgrade, and every step still comes back for your approval.

Is there a cheaper way in?

Accepted Answer

No. There is no free tier and no standalone subscription. Platform access comes with an engagement rather than being sold on its own, because a login without a book blueprint behind it does not get anyone to a finished book.

Will my book be finished in ten days?

Accepted Answer

Almost certainly not, and we will not pretend otherwise. Ten days is the first workflow, which produces a milestone and a plan. Research-, rights-, interview-, photography- or sensitivity-heavy books continue through the production plan approved during that workflow. Short, source-ready books progress further.

Who owns the book?

Accepted Answer

You do. You retain copyright, metadata, pricing, accounts, payouts and final approval unless a separate signed agreement says otherwise. We are not the publisher or the rights owner by default, and no platform relationship implies a rights transfer.

Do you use AI to write my book?

Accepted Answer

AI is the production intelligence, not the author. It drafts, checks continuity, tracks evidence and carries the operational load; humans hold judgment, and you hold approval. AI assistance is never presented as evidence by itself, and specialist review is a human function.

What if my book involves real people?

Then it takes the slower path, deliberately. Living subjects, minors, medical information and private sources receive heightened review; likeness, photography, quotations, trademarks and archives are cleared separately. This is the single most common reason a book that reads well cannot publish.

Yes, and it usually shortens discovery rather than the work. We read what you have, tell you honestly what state it is in, and build the plan from there — including when the answer is that the structure needs rethinking.
