MANIFESTO

Most books die of process, not of ideas.

  1. Most ideas do not disappear because people lack imagination. They disappear because carrying an idea into a finished book is genuinely hard work with ten distinct crafts in it.
  2. A book is a production, not a document. Treating it as a writing problem is why so many stall at chapter four.
  3. Technology should stay behind the experience. The creator is the hero; the engine is scaffolding, and scaffolding that draws attention to itself is badly built.
  4. Consistency is the real difficulty of long work. Canon that holds still is worth more than any generated page.
  5. Living subjects, minors, private sources and licensed material each deserve careful review. Our publishing studio gives that work the attention it needs.
  6. Ownership is not negotiable. If a platform relationship implies a rights transfer, the platform is the author, and that is a different business.
  7. The measure of the work is whether it reaches a reader and holds up once it does.
IMAGINE. CRAFT. SHARE.

If that sounds like your book, we should talk.
